Artist Statement

My artwork is about cleanliness. When I have trip to penang with my class. I took some photos that i think i can use for my artwork. In my opinion, penang so clean, that so few rubbish at the street and public place. I can say that there, in penang more clean than KL. in KL i still can see some rubbish at the sidewalk. but in penang its clean. and i find that one place that i see it is some awkward things. the place in little india, i dont really know the exact name of the street. in that place i find a sign with "fine for littering RM500".but right under the sign there are so many garbage.so i took a picture and make it as one of my artwork.another artwork is showing the clean street in little india. this one picture showing and representing how the environment there looks like.it is so clean.

Artwork Treatment

I do my artwork digitally,i use photoshop to get a nice color for my photograph. and i arrange some word for the typo. in photoshop i use curve,brightness control and high pass filter to get the color and looks that i want. i also use overlay for the second layer. i used a lot free transform and skew transform tool to arrange the typo. before using skew i merge all layer that contain word and letter,then i convert it to shapes so i can use skew them to get perspective i want.for one of my artwork im using blending option for the word to get burnt-in effect.in blending option i use inner shadow, outer glow and gradient overlay options to get the effects. for another artwork i used outer shadow to get some kind of floating effect.
